  2. Nope, they’re completely the wrong items. I’ve no idea what they were intended for but it certainly wasn’t that. They should look like this below, just above and to the left of the speedo, much smaller

  3. Not suggesting they are oem but I think they have been fitted backwards so when tightened it hasn't compressed the rubber. Which is why they looks so long and the shoulder is on the rear.

  4. A 23 year old bike for 6,500.
"Under 20000 miles, some service history but that's irrelevant on a bike this age.

Please call for details. 100% feedback, check it before you ask stupid questions. " Do you check before giving out any stupid answers?
Service history is irrelevant, I am the seller and I'm in the driving seat. Oh, right.

  11. I remember it being for sale with a original (and correct) paint job, think may have put it on here. Think he had a few RG500 bits for sale as well at time.

  12. I am getting eBay emails every day. Just for interest really, as I said elsewhere, the plan is to get a new Guzzi V85 TT and maybe a used 749 for fun and tinkering.

What I don't get is the standard for eBay ads is that he seller is doing you a big favour just by offering it for sale and may not even lower themselves to selling it to you unless you pay the full amount in advance of even getting in touch to waste the seller's time in selling the bike to you. Busy people with lots of options for selling their appreciating asset.

So, sellers are doing you a massive favour by even offering the bike for sale let-alone selling it to you.

It's not like there are a mass of buyers and a shortage of sellers. My impression is that somebody started and everybody copied.

How did this eBay culture start as it is quite recent? Maybe it's just eBay?
