Doesn’t look like it’s had a hard life judging by the bash plate and down pipe. Has the two stage engine map switch and a new back tyre. I’ll probably put a new front tyre on when I get the chance.
Acting as emergency dog sitter for my son’s girlfriends mum, lovely dog totally obsessed with anything tennis balls, I HAVE to throw it at least once every 30 seconds.
Picked up my 996 from Snells, good to see my son for a chat and a lift (A few things i wanted looked at and they were impressed with how good it is mechanically)then rode home and luckily dodged all the menacing black meanee clouds, home and dry. Weather is a bit odd today!!
Went for a ride on the MV and stopped at the cafe in the woods. Spent an hour looking for Marquez for his autograph. Didn't find him but his bike was there
Looks well kept bike, I'm the same with my levers I only change when the end breaks off if it's bent I wait.
Went out for a quick spin with @El Toro this morning. Popped over to Squires for a brew. Decent turn out as always there.
I had everything under control today and then out of the blue i received a phone call from a ex-neighbour.....could you collect a motorcycle from Newhaven today please, yeah ok why not but i mislaid or maybe lost the the other trailers hitchlock key and had to resort to the new plant trailer.I got the first ride out up & down the driveway before him,oh just so weird with forward controls.
I watched him go down the road with interest and he was having trouble landing his feet in right place.
Made an arse of myself while paddling my bike out of the Newlands Corner parking zone! A turning circle of the Queen Mary meant a bit of to-ing and fro-ing and I lost my footing/balance and nearly dropped it... rescued by a quick thinking observer who kept me sunny side up! A huge thank you to whoever it was for saving my bike and limiting my embarrassment. Cheers!
Today, I finally confessed to the wife "Elsie, I don't know if you've noticed, but I've been drinking a lot of brake fluid lately." "You know that is really bad for you Ron, right?" "Don't worry Elsie, I can stop anytime I want"
