  2. I would literally heave on that now Tony, kebab and chips, when "younger" an even younger (10 years-ish younger) mate challenged me to a kebab eating race, we both got through 3 each but he beat me hollow on the last one.

  9. Had to be extremely patient with a couple of numbskulls when trying to talk to my current insurer this morning. First bloke was probably about 12 and thick as shit then cut me off before we'd got everything confirmed. Second one sounded like she was down a well and didn't understand anything I said and couldn't understand that letting me know that all was ok by email wasn't an option and could I hold? No - I've got a fucking Zoom meeting in 1 minute so I can't fucking hold - again!

Third one was utterly charming and got everything sorted. She is clearly a beautiful goddess of insurance and I am in love now. I said to her that had I been in a ditch having had an 'off', I wouldn't be quite so patient (as the on-hold drivel kept telling me I was...) with their customer interface!
FFS - WE PAY THEM FOR THIS!
    Rant over now

  14. we must have, only thinking the other day - all the petrol syphoning that most of us have done to date. I think I must have unintentionally swallowed at least a cup or two.

  15. Helped doing the weekly cleaning around the house.

And whilst SWMBO went for a walk I started a conversation with #1 son to see if he and family can make a surprise (to his mum) visit from Helensburgh before the kids go back to school later this month. Hopefully he can pull it off as we've not seen them since early Feb.

  16. @Admins; Just a small thought, should you consider opening a new part2 version once you reach 3,500 pages?

  17. Well that could have gone better but I suppose it’s my own fault. My trusty (and rusty as I find out) old trailer required 3 new tyres and new rims. Looked at the date code on the tyres and all 3 were 2004 and when the rims came off they were badly rusted beneath what was left of the powder coating. Fortunately Trailertek is almost next door to Micheldever tyres so I collected 3 new rims on may way by for new tyres. When I tested the lights nothing worked so off with the lenses and shoo the spiders away and start cleaning every male and female spade connector, abrade every live surface and clean every bulb holder and bulb. A friendly passer by happily agreed to stand behind the trailer and confirmed that each bulb worked as I pushed and pulled switches and operated the brake pedal in the car. All done now and ready for towing with confidence next Monday for the trip up to Donington. Just the V4 to give the once over tomorrow but that hasn’t been used in anger since the last service so hopefully only re-learning how to use the set up buttons will be the only time consuming task. Andy
