Great day which is unusual for a Ducati event, typical queue at the start , form a line to collect a sticker which allows you to join another queue . Don’t recall seeing a red flag in the advance group all day which meant one knackered rider . Good to meet up with Dibble, the 2 Andys and Sam with his gorgeous looking silver V4R. Stewart.
I’m guessing your were the guy with a rather smashing beard with messer? Nice to chat and enjoy Andy’s engine
First time on track this year, had a great one. Never rode Donington so was pleased to do a 1:46 on an aging 1199 with an unfit rider on board.
Lost the 12 and 2 oclock sessions to running problems, so packed up before things took a proper turn for the worse. Good day though, and nice to be back on a bike again for the first time in over a year. By there were some quick lads there mind
Still gutted I didn't get the 888 there. I am sure I would have been one of the slowest, but would have had a blast. @Mr X - Alasdair, I hope you had a great day and a safe trip back to Jersey.
I was surprised at how new most of the bikes were there, I was expecting there to be a lot of of 999/1098 series stuff.
Had a really good last session with McGuinness. Proper little ding dong, he even came and found me after. That made my year.
Very true. @bradders and I were commenting on the vast numbers of V4s. I did not spot a V2 which surprised me.
Great day out and good to catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones, @Android853sp , @Expat Jack , @RoadRunner , Guy Cope, Felix and others, garage shared with @samieb and the stunning Imola V4R of his, didn't see much of it though as don't have mirrors fitted As usual the normal clan provided much merriment, @andyb @Mr C @final_edition All in all was a great day out, just one idiot in inters block passing everyone he came to, but we all know they walk amongst us .... See you at Silverstone if you are going
