Without sounding to RUTHLESS but it is time to move out the old guard because there is a lot of fucking talented young guns on the rise and we all need riders that can and will kick marques' s ass!! Like you say it's factory results that are key but deep down i personally am getting bored of the Marquez show.
I think if Zarco gets a good result Sunday his name will go in the hat and like you say it could be perfect for Redding.
I expect you're going to have to get used to it, age 27, on current form he could easily win for a few more years yet!
Unfortunately your right but this is what i mean about young up and coming riders, we need riders that can take it to him and give him something to think about.
Not sure what would be worse. Having Marquez or Irwin behind you Only way to beat Marquez is be ‘combative’. Trouble is, most can’t get close enough to him to be that.
It would be brilliant to have two abosolutely amazing guys both at MM's level on the track at the same time. Though when you think about the odds of that actually happening... MM is like Mike Tyson or Mark Spitz right now. Then again who would have thought Dyokovic, Nadal & Federer would all appear and play at the same time
Dovizioso-Ducati: game over 'there were no conditions to go on' https://www.valentinorossi46.it/ducati-dovizioso-le-parole-dopo-laddio/
It is a difficult one to call, in one of the interviews with Ciabatti he didn't want to be pushed but basically said they are looking at Zarco and Peco but i think you could be right about Dovi but we'll have to wait and see.
Dovi with italian Tv... 'I have not another team, but i'm not leaving MotoGp'... https://www.valentinorossi46.it/andrea-dovizioso-non-pare-intenzionato-a-smettere/ (Aprilia??)
From the current Ducati line-up, the only chap that managed to beat MM is Dovi, let alone this it was the only Ducati rider in the last 10 years that came anywhere near securing a title. Just to name two of the top dogs out there that rode the same(ish) bike for much more monies and done f@ all Vale finished 6th and 7th Jorge finished 7th and 9th Dovi finished 2nd in the championship three times. Not really sure what all the negatives here...
I think Dovi has had his chance. Its time for some new blood. Bagnaia was looking fast til his inocuous crash. Zarco also looks comfortable on the Avintia Ducati.
I get the Desmo Dovi bit but not the rest of your statement as it's like comparing apple and pears with the differences with those year bikes.
But early to call but if Zarco does good in the next few rounds and depending a lil on Redding in wsb I think it will be zarco and Miller at factory, with a preform or Redding gets ya seat in 2022 clause.. assuming Redding kicks arse...
I find it a bit deja vu with Ducati people management skills thinking of the way Stoner and Lorenzo left. TB
The factory needs to change it's mindset and start thinking like the japanese teams or others like the spanish that nurture their young guns for the big occasions.
Jorge was riding same bike, the years when Dovi secured 2nd place, narrowly missing the title. I am not saying that Dovi is the best rider out there, he had plenty of chances to secure a title (not only on Ducati) and maybe is a good move from Ducati to get "eager" young blood in there. However, facts are fact....since Stoner left, Dovi was the only rider to get near securing a title.
