How come the weather is so nice all weekend and then forecast to be a monsoon only on Tuesday?!?! Back to ok on weds?!?! i have two bikes in the garage on slicks presently and as its a bank hols, not much chance of getting any wets now.... Bollocks, as they say in the trade.
It is annoying, but not much we can do apart from make the best of a bad job and do some socialising and drink tea.or we could all take a mountain bike instead!
£175 to drink tea! Money well spent me thinks. All I hope is that its so wet that no one can go out and they ave to refund or give credit. Fat chance of that happening. Heres still hoping that its a few showers with enough of a breeze to dry the tack out in-between.
met office forecast seems to show an absolute wall of water arriving Monday night, so sadly not much chance of a "few showers" by the look of it. yep, £175 plus hotel and travel for a cuppa in a garage in the cold and wet. Bargain. Just another part of the expense of ducati ownership! Maybe I won't bother loading up the bikes, it's always a faff and there doesn't look like much chance of riding, so I will just take a thermos and a good coat......
Looking forward to meeting some of you guys, will be looking out for forum names on bikes, either that or wear a pink carnation! It's all about the prestige of ducati ownership.well that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.staying at the Melbourne view, any one else there ?
I am waiting until about 3pm to load up, hoping that the forecast changes between now and then. Sadly, it hasn't so far.
there is a window at around 1000........ is it the most frustrating situation watching the sun and heat over the last couple of days turn into shoite hours before you want it dry....
Same here. Looking at arriving about 5.30. Might just get pissed tonight as it looks like I won't be riding tomorrow. You watch, I'll get drunk and suffer with a hangover and it'll be dry tomorrow!
Im riding up to Brum from Central London today after work, staying the night at my girlfriends and then heading up from there tmrw morning. It isnt looking good, but Ive paid so I may as well turn up and have a bacon sarnie and a coffee in the morning, followed by two or three very slow sighting laps
Leaving at 4pm from the South West with a bike I have never ridden on the track before, and don't officially own, fitted with Racetecs, should be interesting. I could own a new track bike come the end of tomorrow.
