Already on the cards Stewart The Grey 1’s are the original Ducati 1’s, Which I prefer before they changed over to the Red 1’s with the dual pins.
Those that have booked, how have you selected your rider group? The booking platform doesn't seem to offer any options? Even the old (peculiar to Silvertone) option of detailing your track experience isn't there. Cheers
It’s rubbish isn’t it. I emailed them and they responded to say they had passed on the information on. I guess they are going to sort it out nearer the time?!
When we signed on for Donnington via the email link, we had to choose the Group via the MSV page. So if it’s the same page, you’ll get the option to choose at that point.
Thanks buddy, it’s an odd way to work as they have no idea on ability and group sizes. I guess it could mean they can be a bit more flexible if needed
MSV won't be involved with the Silvertone one will they? Maybe summat will come through from Silverstone later? Some info on the bloody website/booking portal might be useful. Knobbers!
Yes, it’s a poor show from Silverstone... MSV and other trackday providers seem to have been able to pull their finger out
I asked Silverstone about choosing groups and still waiting for a response, be interesting if they put us in the wrong group
When I first booked way back in March I received this via email and clicked the registration link - this went through the how many trackdays have you done etc questions.
Been sent a questionnaire to complete after booking/paying. Maybe have this info on the portal at the point of sale....
So... going: @Dibble @andyb @samieb @AndyTheFox @JohnPH_2910 @t3scn +1 @Paul55 Silverstone is a little light on details so far. Are we in the new pits, is there a noise limit and are there groups?
Paul, Noise is ride by at 103db (IIRC), however, two very miserable old blokes prowl the pit lane with a noise meter! They get very aroused if you have after market exhausts without baffles (sticker removed and sent home). So, put the db killers in if you have them. When you book and pay, you'll get a follow up email asking for your track experience and further details, I usually request a group in the further details box. TBH - there's probably going to be a bit more latitude re the noise on a the (Ducati) day.
