Conquest Carbon (who do a discount for forum members) currently have a 'big' hugger advertised for £99: Ducati Multistrada 1200 Carbon Hugger | Conquest Carbon No idea if it's any good. Somebody else on here may know.
As far as I'm aware, pretty much everything on the market is a copy of the OEM items, so if they're not working you'll be on your own.
OP, have you kept the splash guard on......that catches a surprising amount of crap. Carbon version of the lrge OE hugger
I use the large one in the winter, the more aesthetic shorty in the summer. To recap, I use the large one all year round.
Thanks for the photos Andy. Nice set up - and yes - i have taken the splash guard off. May have to put it back on i guess.
Form vs function..........I'm for good looks / aesthetics as much as the next guy but there are times 'function' wins out for me - I removed the splash guard / 'crud catcher' from my R1200GS and soon ended up putting it back on! R1200GS "Crud Catcher" / Spray Guard - to be or not to be? ...so left it alone on the Mutley. At the end of the day 'looks' are important but for me function can win out........if I wanted sportsbike looks I'd buy one! lol (actually I wouldn't.......too uncomfortable to ride for me now-a-days!)
Odd thing is - i can't find any listing for the bigger O.E hugger on the Ducati accessories part of their website - only the carbon one - which is nearly £200.00. Any idea's?
Right. Then i guess i need to have a chat with David at JHP, as mine only came with the standard small rear one..
Yes the 'Sport' comes with both, the 'Touring' with just the large plastic one. Conquest carbon do the large one in carbon for £120 and Steve offers forum members a discount ;-)
Ah - mine's the base model - guess that's why i only get one. Will have a look at the carbon one. Cheers Andy.
