Yes. Poor photos, sorry. In the flesh it is stunningly beautiful. Many Ti bolts, carbon everything and ...... bog standard rearsets? The new owner apparently has a box of tricks yet to be fitted which I assume will rectify this situation. Wheels as BST apparently.

There is enough room for 6 shot glasses or 4 whiskey tumblers or two pints on each wing so you can drink and dribble in the garage at the same time.

Actually, a Ducati FB group. Someone posted a photo of the Superleggera they'd seen in a dealer's showroom and someone commented about not being able to take it on most tracks due to the CF wheels, yet that's where it really needs to go to use its potential. I asked why? Others responded with various reasons as to why not, all to do with safety, or at least inability to obviously see any structural damage done to the wheel by hitting objects or frequent tyre changes unless they are x-rayed and apparently when a CF wheel loses it's structural integrity due to damage it loses it in a big way very quickly. I was also informed they are not used in motoGP for the same reasons.

I'm not dissing the bike, I like it a lot and think it is a masterful piece of engineering and art, just passing on an observation but as a seeker of the truth I'd like to know if the Karen's of this world are right or wrong in this regard.

 

Me too as I really fancy some BST carbon wheels on my Moto2 and that will go in track one day.

 

What is the price tag on the beauty?

As its passed tests for road use, the carbon wheels are deemed as safe as any fitted to a road bike

Yes done a quick google search and it looks like your right they are all sold, weather permitting i might get my ass up there to have a look and a drool.
