Please note there are increasing pressure on circuits to abide by their noise levels, noise restrictions will apply at Silverstone with a 105dba ride by noise limit as in previous years and we ask that you pay particular attention to the following points regarding noise: The onus is on YOU the rider to ensure your motorcycle is within the Silverstone circuit noise regulations. All motorcycles must be fitted with a baffle, if you are concerened your motorcycle may exceed the above limit then please request a test prior to going on track. We are happy to do this and will retest as many times as required to ensure your motorcycle is within the noise limit After market silencers or race cans must have baffles fitted. Should a rider go out without baffles or a silencer fitted and it breaks the noise limit, we will not give a further opportunity to noise test the motorcycle. Offending motorcycles will not be allowed to continue and no refunds will be given. Any bikes failing the noise level will be black flagged and tested statically at 108dB. Noise limits will be applied in accordance with special permissions for Ducati UK and will be monitored on a ride by basis at 105db. No bike engines may be run before 08.30hrs or after 17.30hrs.
Defo concessions on the day then. From the silvestone website; Our circuit regulations include noise limits, which we monitor on a ride-by basis at 102dB. Any bikes failing this will be black flagged and tested at 105dB. If you have a baffle for your bike, please make sure it’s fitted.
Got a response today from Silverstone saying when the briefing emails are sent this is when they will ask which group you wish to ride in
Just got the email below - indemnity form needs to be complete by 24th August so check your inbox! Still just asks how long you have been riding - how many trackdays you have done and if you have ever raced.
I saw that - they just hadn’t changed their standard website specifically for the Ducati day - still 105 drive by for us. Because we are Special!
Anybody got a contact number for Silverstone for this track day? I'm looking to sell my spot and failing that I will go on my 900ss. The problem is I'm locked out of my hotmail account and despite emailing them giving an my new email address I have heard nothing. The phn number on there site is just a message pointing you to the website.. at this rate I will not be able to sell spot or attend by the look of things...
Thanks mate. That's a different number to what I have been trying so perhaps they will answer that One! Although if the cut off time for filling out form is the 24th I may be fucked anyhu...
Anyone on this day who happens to be a wizard in the dark art of suspension setup? Could do with some on the day advice.
