I had to remove the callipers to change my pads on my Vito, couldn’t get a bar in there long enough had to borrow an impact driver. Made short work of it great bit of kit if you have the funds.
Trials riding today with my lad. Fixed the 749 not turning over issue, got it to fire up all too briefly may have to remove the plugs suspect it’s now flooded.
Cleaned up our pantry n found these, bought them 20 years ago while doing a stint in Kosovo, wonder if they will taste any good
will wait until I retire in 2022 then will sit on our terrace in France and pop them. Be interesting to see if it’s improved since the last bottle I had.
Woke up in a van I prefer hotels ... I’m about 60 miles from Santander at services on the a-8 Found a couple of pictures of bins yesterday at some random place heading north in the mountains towards Gijón and the view through the houses was at luanco above Gijón north west Spain I collected 3 bicycles from there highly recommend northern Spain stunning
Been going through some old photo's of when I was driving to the Middle East, here's one of Rovinj in Croatia, it was Yugoslavia back then. I loaded shrimps back to the UK from here. As it was in 1977 when I loaded, the picture was taken from just outside the loading bay. As near as I could get using Google today, it doesn't seem to have changed much. It is so interesting re-tracing my routes back then and to see how the roads have improved. Steve
More reminiscing over past photo's. This is the start of the climb over Tarsus in southern Turkey heading towards Syria, it was well known as one of the most frightening mountains to drive over in Turkey back in 1977, around 18 miles up and another 18 back down. This picture is going down the other side, there were many places where two lorries couldn't pass and sheer drop's down into the ravine bellow with many wrecked vehicles as a warning to take care, it was regularly closed in the winter. There is now a duel carriageway over this same mountain, how times change. Steve
Steve. Your photos have stirred some old memories. Travelled overland to India in 1975 on a 'Magic bus' Had some wild adventures on the road, arrested on the Iran/Afghan border for the theft of a blanket ( which was actually an old bit of rag you wouldn't deem good enough to clean your chain with), thought I was going to have one of my hands chopped off, but luckily avoided a trial and travelled back to the Iranian side of the border standing on the catwalk between the cab and the trailer unit of a petrol tanker, clinging on for dear life -terrifying! Then crossed into Pakistan at Zahedan and travelled mostly on the roof of local buses full of chickens goats and people until I eventually got to the Amritsar border. Happy days.
I got an old Honda on but a fair bit of stuff too I’m on my weight limit yes get to northern Spain it’s stunning in my opinion
