That's cool, because I changed the stock exhaust to an Akrapovic system, I had to change the bottom fairings. The graphics have been applied after the bike was painted and I have looked at making clearcoat etc but thinking of buying different fairings for track days and then using the current set up for the road.
I have to say, on a bike, nothing beats a full system...the bedrock of any performance gains imo....along with light wheels...
Ducati Manchester fitted the graphics (where I purchased the bike) but unfortunately the graphics on the end of the wings come off as they won't stick correctly. It's a shame but they lifted up at about 80 mph, wait until its ran in...
The Image Works can sort that for you no problem. Mine have been on for 12 ish years now and not far away too...
My last two Ducati’s have been race reps. The last one was a 998S with the Infostrada Bayliss scheme hand painted on. Looked ace. My current bike is a 959 which I bought from Ducati Manchester too. This has been wrapped in the Aruba.it scheme and I think it looks right enough. Some prefer plain red some prefer the race reps. Either way there’s no need to slate someone else’s ride simply because you don’t like it.
Hi Bettes, well said, if everyone had the same taste, and bike, things would be a little boring. Personally I like super/sports bikes and race reps in particular. I am not a fan of cafe racers, but I respect that some people love them, and that's great, but I wouldn't be negative about their choice. Do you have any pics of your bikes?
