I Should Probably Say Hello....

  1. I've actually been a bit of a lurker on here for some time so though it was worth introducing myself properly.

I'm based in Liverpool and I've had bikes all my life (FZR 250, ZXR400, RSVR, SV650) and my latest 749 Dark which I bought on a bit of a whim as my mate was badgering me to get another bike after I sold my Aprilia.

I've always loved twin-engined bikes, the sound they make and the very visceral feeling I get when riding them and since getting the 749 I've done quite a bit to it:
    - full service including belts, fuel filters etc.
    - mono conversion
    - lots of carbon (mudguards, seat unit, exhaust covers etc etc.)
    - new screen
    - powder coated lots of bits that were getting a bit flaky

It's turning into a bit of a habit!

  6. Ah - forgot pics! I also had it wrapped too which might upset the purists but I really like it which is all I'm bothered about.

Currently awaiting carbon belt covers to arrive from Italy...

  14. Welcome. I went through a downsizing phase many years ago and bought a new ZXR400. It was brilliant and introduced me to track days - free membership of the Kawasaki Riders Club and Kawasaki Track Days hosted by Roger Burnett.

Wonder what he's up to nowadays...
