  1. just found this site while looking for legit advice, rather than guessing games. I own a 2006 Monster S2R Dark, 4,000 miles, all stock except for a Dynojet Power Commander installed to possibly help my problem. It didn't....Drivability is the issue,..bike starts and runs well up to about 3,000 RPM, then bucks and backfires from exhaust and intake. OK after 3,000,....stalls at times at stoplights. Bike had a used ECU (reflashed) and dash installed after a burned dash,...or ECU,...when a battery charger was used to start the bike. Never the same....

  5. Hello :upyeah:, worth checking the fuel filter and condition of fuel tank, people have a tendency to not look at the filter it is very overlooked, also check fuel injectors and i am sure there will be more advice to follow.

Your best bet is to find someone who has a dyno, who can run the bike on there, see what’s happening fuelling wise and then create a new fuelling programme and flash the ecu accordingly to make the fuelling smoother. It’s not uncommon for there to be a sharp dip in the power/torque curves around 3-4k rpm as fuelling is changed at that point before the curves pick up again. All to do with attempting to get around emissions regulations when getting a bike approved around the world.

  14. Thanks!! Love the bike, always wanted this exact model,...finally bought one in 2012, and soon after, Superstorm Sandy claimed that one. Lucky enough to find another one, and 25 serial numbers away from the original. Unfortunately, this issue makes it less than perfect...
