Where In The World?

  1. A Ducati and a slim ribbon of tarmac.
That moment when the rest of the world ceases to exist, and your mind is free.
This could only be one place... 52CEEB7B-0501-4CE7-B108-74EF41B648AB.jpeg

  11. Cadwell.

    nice bike

  12. going to guess...air cooled SS donor bike, ST2 or later SSIE forks, Blade seat unit, 916 fairing, can't guess at the tank..

  13. That’s right - Cadwell, specifically Hall bends. A lovely bit of the Lincolnshire wolds.

The bike is a simple air cooled 900ssie - Main focus has been sharp handling and low weight.

  14. bet its fun to ride!! The SS really takes a high underseat can so well!

Whats the tank? MV? Chinese bike?

What have you the weight down too? Lightest I've seen was Ghosts at under 150 kgs with 2l fuel..

  15. Yamaha tank.
We have no scales to check it on, but there isn't that much left to take off.
We were running a lightened flywheel but we tried it this time with the flywheel, starter clutch, starter motor, rotor, generator, most of the wiring loom and associated gubbins removed.
In my view a step too far, but I have to say, the speed it picks up and loses revs is something to behold.

  16. bathroom scales do the job pretty well

  17. So how did John Hopkins get to ride it??? X

  18. Similar in profile and probably weight to your ape just with 80hp and 60lbft

  19. The Ape had a 550 fitted over winter. I think it’s kicking close to 80 at the rear wheel and Around 120kg
