  3. I think the headstock issues were because they spent a lot of time on the back wheel followed by heavy landings

  5. Roger ;)

  6. They recalled all bikes and replaced or welded a brace on. Perfect response from a manufacturer.

  7. This was mine when it was first delivered. It was a USA spec colour scheme and I had a yoshi can fitted at its first service.

  8. It really was a great bike, and probably the only sports bike I’ve ever had where I could get both feet firmly on the ground. Which was nice ;)

  9. I remember buying a K9 which was the first inline 4 I’d had since the K5. Totally gutless at the bottom end, I didn’t like it so I smashed it up on the Island....
The K5 was one of the last proper inline 4 1000’s.

  11. Ouch. Proper job. Even gaffa tape and cable ties wouldn’t get that out again!

  13. Still cannot get my head around this... these chaps seem quite genuine, so I hope they won't lie or manipulate the results, so "banter" aside how the heck is that K5 quicker? Chassis, better power delivery, better suspension setup?

  14. Listening at the end and watching the V4, it squats and wallows horrendously on exit. I’d wager it means they are constantly backing off the gas or holding steady not driving forward. It’s all in the chassis IMHO. And proves why, if you want to go fast on track, you start with the chassis and then everything else after :upyeah:

  15. I was under the impression that they’d explained the rear shock spring was their problem as it was soft for a more comfortable ride on the road? I would hope that on a 24k bike the chassis is fully sorted especially as it seems the engine forms part of chassis too?

  16. Spring equals shock equals chassis

  17. More like 1/3 chassis on the V4, and 1/5 on the V2 :) Seen that pumping coming out of the turns, would expect the ERS Ohlins to sort it out to certain extent. (obviously no substitute for soft spring) Guess this is why a track dedicated suspension is better than the semi active suspension.
