  1. Delivered a trike today to Newport bit of a sad story this one...so the fella rode his trike to a campsite for trikes near Coventry and on his way in to the site he put his foot down too early caught his foot and dislocated his knee....so ambulance and trike stuck at campsite until we put it in van and took it to Newport...fella is properly struggling on crutches...on the plus side I rode a trike today only into his garage though

  2. Terrible news about the fella....as a side note is they the concept mv you put a deposit on or am I muddled in memory? Looks lovely whatever :upyeah:

  3. I bought £70 worth of herbs, spices and assorted goodies from Strawberry and Spice Asian market in Pollokshields, Glasgow. A veritable Mecca for foodies. Let the munching begin! If lockdown is going to make me fat me an SWMBO are not going to do it on junk.

  5. Thanks mate. Not doing great today, as they say sometimes you take things/people for granted until they are not around.
Yep, thats the bike I put a deposit on ages ago and it showed up in April of May.
    Fun as feck to ride.

  8. Yesterday changed the brake and clutch fluid in the Monster. Used Castrol React srf racing fluid because it’s good for a higher temperature, supposed to improve the back brake and stop it from going spongy too quickly.

Checked the tyre pressures, chain lube and tension. Also put the crud catcher back on. As much as I don’t like it I don’t want any more fines.

We’ll see how the brakes are today, heading up the Sierra Nevada mountains with bro 2 and Jorg the laughing German, can’t wait.

The Monster feels so much lighter than the Multistrada and I prefer the sitting position too.

  10. Or some pillions I’ve seen that’s half the weight of her/him/shim/a+ on the back

  11. I've booked mine in to have to have the brake fluid changed to Castrol React SRF tomorrow. Hopefully it solves the problem

  12. Dropped the Diavel off for an annual service and new sprockets and chain. Checked the heating was working to find that the constant hot and cold temperature change through a diverter valve had caused the plastic motor housing to get brittle and just break which meant the eccentric cam wasn’t operating the diverter valve piston. Explains why no hot water was making its way around the central heating. Got one ordered for collection tomorrow. Going to have a coffee and then get into the workshop to fit a new YT12B-BS battery to the Multistrada. Andy

  13. I've been a busy bee..........dealt with plumbers this morning first thing then washed/cleaned and polished both bikes

  14. A few weeks ago, I made a front paddock stand under yoke lift for the 998. Got it shot blasted, powder coated and even fitted nylon sliders on the bottom to protect the paint. Won’t work with the 959! :sob:
So set about Mk II this morning while all was quiet at work. Lifts the bike perfectly but also means another £20 for powder coating.

  15. Caught up with some forum buddies at Silverstone. Felt a bit jealous as was only watching as until recently I had a commitment on this day. Enjoyable nonetheless.

Been out on the epushiron to explore some lanes that have been taken away from trail bike users.
I think the two push bikes look like they’re recreating Elaine Page/Barbara Dickson Duet “I know him so well”, but that might just be me.

  17. Is that Baslow end of Curbar Rocks near Eagle stone.

  18. Well done, you ought to go onto the ABR website, where I’ve asked if anyone knows where it is...

We’ve done 23 miles round there today, parked in Baslow, cycled up Bar Lane to Curbar Gap, back to the Wellington monument, across Clodhall crossroads, along the top of Gardoms Edge, along the front of Birchen Edge to the Robin Hood, over Beeley Moor into Chatsworth, Carlton Lees, up to the Russian Cottage, cup of tea in Edensor, across Chatsworth to Baslow and then a back road (Gorsebank Lane) trying to get to Curbar crossroads for an ice cream, (two scoops, Chocochino in one cone, raspberry ripple in the other), then back to Baslow.
