Remember little Grace? The only one of our Meg's May litter to make it (just). Well in 16 weeks she's gone from this... ..to this...
Don't know if this will work? It's 'Glen', one of our Beth's boys https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10158585757827277
Thought so. I love them. werent they used as guards/babysitters in China or something? (Not sure about American... but Akita) They used to lock kids in the house, then lock a breeding pair in the compound around the hose... Nobody could make it to the house. a friend of mine on LI once had one eat though his wooden fence and kill his dog. They are not to be trifled with
It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog. My Iggy got a nasty surprise at the weekend when he was trying to make friends with a female Chihuahua/Jack Russell cross which looked like and had the personality of a Gremlin.
She doesn’t care - like most lovely looking young ladies, she knows she will always get her own way regardless
Tyson. He is 5.5 now. We have had him since he was 1.5 years old. Got him from a rescue centre that used to be in Bedford. Didn't go there to see him - went to see and Akita. The wife and I had 2 Huskies when we first got together. We lost Skye first then Storm followed a year later. That was about 7 years ago. The wife was due to have our third child very shortly after we lost Storm so decided to wait to get another dog. The wait turned to 3 years nearly. Anyway, my Dad is retired but did some voluntary work at the rescue home, walking the dogs, feeding etc. He phoned me one day as he knew we were looking and said they had an Akita in. We arrange to go and see him on a Saturday. However, when we got there they wouldn't let us see him as he had bit 2 volunteers. As we were walking back out Tyson caught our eye. We went to see him for 4 weekends in a row with the kids to make sure he was going to be for us. The rescue centre had no real info on him. They came in one morning and found him tied to their gate with a note saying he was living on a farm and didn't like cats so they had to get rid of him. After we got him and got his vaccination card I just about managed to read the address of the previous owner (they had scribbled though it). It came back as flat in central London. Anyway, he is fantastic round all three kids, literally couldn't wish for a better family pet.
