  1. Out of curiosity are the Ducati’s still being reigned in by restrictions due to the rules??

  2. Original rules allowed race bike to rev to 1000rpm over homologated bike’s rev limit. In the case of the V4RS, it was tuned for 17500rpm. Rules were changed to limit the V4RS upper rev limit at the last minute before the first race. Kawasaki built the 2020 homologated ZX10 with Pankl rods to claw back the 500rpm JR was penalised for always winning in 2018/19. Andy

  3. So the Ducati started this season with less revs than last year, before they had to reduce it following Bautista's dominance, and the Kawasaki has started this season with more revs than last year?

  4. Not as far as I am aware. My earlier post refers to the start of the 2019 season. Andy

  5. Yet everyone can see the bike isn’t faster, the speed traps make that clear, but they get off the corner better. Part rider, part electronics, part power. It’s noticeable how Redding has a different line to everyone at some corners.

  6. Made me smile at the weekend with the emerging story that some of the teams are bitching that the lighter riders can run the X tyre used in qualifying for the full race which is perceived to be an advantage. I would not and describe Chaz Davies as a lighter rider and he seemed to have no issues with the X tyre in the race. Andy

  7. Rea very rarely DNF Scott needs to win so many races to claw back the gap . Too much pressure!
