Yes mate back home now I came out of hospital on Wednesday late afternoon. I should be ok from now on in. I'm pretty fit for my age, I don't drink or smoke and I have a healthy diet and they tell me it's purely down to family history and I've been unlucky. Now it's been discovered and sorted the drugs should mean it never happens again. I have to take it easy for a few weeks which will be difficult because it's not in my nature.
Another good day on track despite the weathers best efforts First time out on track rubber. Bike felt 10000x better in general. brakes still inconsistent however I’m getting used to their performance even with the abs now and I’m still struggling with the QS however after adjusting the chain to essentially being slightly to tight it is better although not great. didn’t really get any clear laps in unfortunately but the bikes feeling awesome and I’d absolutely love to feel it in race trim. I genuinely think with some seat time, a stiffer rear spring and gearing on it that I could put in some pretty good times. Confidence is growing and I’m a confidence rider so win win. The feel from the standard suspension .. especially the front end is fantastic ! was great to get away from it all with friends as life has been far from easy the last few weeks
pulled them through mate yeah so much nicer, especially on slicks. Bike made so much more sense running around on road tyres Previously didn’t do much for my confidence as I’ve hardly ridden on them before so just made me feel uneasy all the time. the power is so usable and versatile
Not a lot going on at the moment as I’m in the middle of home buying chaos new gearing has arrived, I went for 16/44 as it seems recommended and offers a good balance apparently for most circuits. Also enables me to keep the stock chain and moves the wheel base back a bit. So should be a ‘win win’. Also ordered new rear sets which should arrive tomorrow (promach which have come very highly recommended); might be out at Donington at the end of the month possibly if life calms down a bit! next on the list will be abs removal and some decent pads. Then full system and mapping by MSG followed by fairings I also picked up a new fuel jug as I’ve finally decided I’m pissed off with the crap cheapo ones ! And a new swanky digital snap on torque wrench;
Oh I nearly forgot amidst all of the excitement of my new fuel jug I also fitted new domino grips which I feel are an improvement. And a Gilles brake guard (because it was £50 on eBay)
New gearing is in. The front sprocket was so tight that even with an enormous breaker bar i was lifting the whole bike off the floor (with my missus sat on it) instead of moving the bolt haha Eventually gave up and my local dealer got it off for me for free with their windy gun Did get to play with my new super awesome snap on wrench though
