Electric Mountain Bike E-mtb Advice

  1. Hello all,
After getting into the cycling picture thread on here (and only that reason), I've decided to get a full suspension mountain bike and to avoid either too much slow riding on the roads (to get to the forest) or getting a van. I've decided to get a full suspension electric mountain bike.
I'm looking at spending around 3k and I wondered if anyone had any recommendations?
    cheers,
    Andy.

  2. A nice little green lane motorbike...

Mines a 2017, the newer ones have a bigger/betterer battery.
You’d get a second hand one for £3k
The Specialized power delivery is superior to others I’ve tried.
Giant do a cheaper bike, but it’s not as good or attractive.
I get about 22 miles out of the battery (406W) in the Peaks with some serious climbs, the newest ones come with a 700W battery.

  6. I guess the person who named those tyres must have ridden a std MTB in some areas of the Peaks!

    Mr Bimble.

  8. @winrow3745 Rutland cycles offer free 30 minute trials or a 2 day hire of electric bikes for £49.99 from their Rutland Water and I think the same from the Grafham Water stores. The £49.99 is refunded if you buy from them. I`ve bought from the Grafham shop and they were extremely helpful, I was interested in one one of the bikes they hire out, I had a 10 mile demo around the reservoir. and then went ahead with the purchase of an identical new bike. IF they are not too far from you they are worth a look.

  9. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near Rutland cycles otherwise that would have been perfect.

I've started looking in earnest and realised that so is/has the rest of the country. Apparently lockdown turned into a bike buying fest, who'd have known it eh.

  10. I see you're from Cheshire from you avatar, you could try here and try it in anger on man made trails or just fire roads and should you desire some undulating road too.
