Gutted for Valentino falling one place short, but nevertheless a great race, viagra is the way to go chaps from now on in.
Morbidelli gets the win then Peco and Mir gutted for Vale for not getting his 200th podium but a good 4th, roll on next weekend.
It would be rude not too,i might go for another one now on the PS,but just a quickie...after a cup of tea first.
I am and always have been a huge Rossi fan, but I do believe the guy is burned out now. He really needs to retire at this season end and do what he is excellent at, that is to push his academy and riders. He still has talent to pass on, but not enough to win, or even podium regularly anymore sadly
I still think he can win races and like you say he doesn't win regularly anymore and he does have plenty of knowledge and experience to pass on, i'm pretty sure the Petronas deal will be done so one more year then retire at the end of next season then fire up his Motogp team would be a great way to end what has been an extraordinary career. Motogp will be odd without him riding in it but i'm sure he will be very present still in Motogp.
Valentino behind Morbidelli and Bagnaia: 'I'm ready to close my Academy' and smile https://www.valentinorossi46.it/valentino-se-la-ride-ora-chiudo-lacademy/
Yes indeed, but the last rider from the grid has to clear the pit-lane exit before any riders in the pit-lane can be released. Harsh but fair I’m afraid, but no compensation for the rider whose race he destroyed in the previous race, but a great ride nonetheless.
Let's put this in perspective what his achievements were this weekend at 41 years of age;He topped the time sheets in FP3,4th on the grid and made a excellent start, showed his front wheel to the chap at the front of the race many times over, was second for over fifteen plus laps before ONLY two other younger riders came past him,was that lap 7/6 and the last with the suzuki rider..? He beat his team mate (has No wins) and is now level on points with him,the championship leader came in seventh place. It's amazing what a Old Tosser can achieve on a race circuit these days with his competitors aged at inbetween 23 / 25 years old.
People bash hi a nd say time to go (I think it is btw) but he’s still beating more than he isn’t including often his teammates, so you can understand why he hangs around
Winning or being competitive is a drug that no one can give up if your a sunday man, long may he stay and entertain us all...and let him decide when the times right....he's earned that right,IMO
FQ’s fucked it. Heads gone. Too emotional. And looking at the championship standings, I bet MM is still licking his chops.... I wonder if he'll have a go??
Oh he can still ride a bike alright. It’s just that he’s dialling in more self preservation these days. Totally understandable.
It's great to see that he's taken his race responsibtities with maturely these days, but there is no substitute for youth, that's his biggest rival.
