Thank you but no need. She had a life that was one full of lire and excitement, fun and peril (rhymes with Beryl). The gin story is legendary in our house. It was my FILs 80 party. About 60 old duffers coming. Bomber turns up at c14:00 (for a 17:00 start). I stupidly asked her if she would like a drink, thinking tea or coffee. Gin. Pardon? got any gin? yes. What would you like in it? nothing. ice? no! just gin Stupid boy!!! brilliant when older generation have the ability to shock us youngsters.
Went out first thing with my neighbour Dan (RSV4R Factory) and a couple of Ducati Manchester boys (one on a Multistrada & one on a SF V4S) around the Peak District. Dan had never met the Ducati boys before but he enjoyed the 120 miles we did, as it was rather brisk Stopped in Matlock Bath for a coffee, and it was scorchio and very busy too. Got home around 2pm and watched the MotoGP It’s been a rather fun day
Went out for a proper ride on the 996 from here southampton up to Northampton then a stop at Stoke Bruerne canal, it was really busy at the locks but walked up to the tunnel end and it was nice and quite for a sit down and a tuna sarnie and a drink, i used to spend a lot of time up here as a child spending my school holidays at Roade village with my aunt and cousins, good memories. Also know why i fucking hate the A34 with a fucking passion, went to get on the M27 this morning but had to bypass, multi vehicle pile up as usual, fucking happens all the time, then got on the A34 and yes it's assholes sitting on the outside lane, trucks overtaking trucks for mile after mile coaches doing the same Aggggggggggggggggh!! Still it was a good blast.
Well first thing I went to look at a K5 for @Dave . Bike looks in very good condition for its age and mileage. So now it's down to Dave as to whether he wants to do a deal with the shop. After that I had a run ro Squires for a coffee and a late breakfast. The place was quite busy given its Monday but it is scorchio here today. I then went to visit an old neighbour but they were out so I just headed home. Since then I've been sunbathing in the garden.
Today i bunked of work due to a hang over caused by @Rebel and @Not Carl Fogarty visiting me .... On Saturday... Sunday was spent drinking wine to recover from the vodka....
Now that's a very narrow track & looks very tricky for over or undertaking maneuvers,How was your temperature gauge,as mine was raising over a hundred the slower i went in traffic today.
That's fine if your in constant airflow for heat dissipation to keep it in that zone,i would hate to have a V4 as they have a less coolant volume than the earlier bikes,so the temps must go through the roof on a hot day.
Yes fuck that, i was lucky as well coming into southampton i missed the school run, i got caught in it last week some time and the temp was well not good, it was just slightly under the 100 and i couldn't hear it but the fan was probably doing overtime, it was on when i got to the garage and just turned the ignition on, she was hot.
One day I'll be very glad that my grandaughter is an independent, strong-willed individual with unapologetic opinions and a loud voice. But not today and especially not whilst shopping in ASDA
I'm hoping at least the bastard strimming is done for the year, I want a flat above a double garage woth tarmac all round
Made the mistake of leaving the garage doors open for the day. Now the bikes are covered in ashe from the fires around here. Went out for a ride last Sunday on the V4 and the air temp was 44c on the way home, not a happy camper. Need to spend a few hours cleaning tonight.
