You guys keep banging on about Rossi and Ducati ... I think this move was the biggest mistake of his life .. he will admit later in life. What can he do, he's spoken his mind to Ducati, but he's tied into a contract worth millions ... Money talks ... he beat Hayden this time, all you guys were saying Vali was over when Hayden beat him just once this season. Meanwhile we've been taking our yes off the ball, Ben Spies has been going forever backwards, this is a guy with a Works Yamaha and Cal has been kicking his arse all year, last year too. And what about Bradley? just as well he stayed back a year ... am I reading that right, 10th? today and he was offered a Moto GP ride just like that because he wanted more school or something ? Rossi is still the GOAT, his times in the wet on the Ducati, last week proved he's still got it. PS: I think this is Colin Edwards last year, hope he heals well.
It's all relative. A year ago 7th and 30 seconds off would be bad news but so far this year it's a positive thing. Just shows how much the bar has lowered but i hope it's a sign of better to come after tomorrows test.
Well Katana as much as I like Rossi there was something odd this race. Not only did Rossi best Hayden, Hayden was oddly slow due to apparent issue with electronics. If you look at it closely Rossi is not that much higher up the rank as barely 1 spot up over last race, aka he did not move while the other went backwards ...
Yamaha signing bradley smith is a total mistake imho. They have a decent brit on it at the mo. BS is the most over rated rider all because of the stupid uk press! Enter Cal  Say it like it is style! you wont see Cal kissing journos Ass's
I think this is a different Katana from our old friend, whose post would have read more like. "get Rossi to feck. The tax dodging eyetie should spend less tie selling t shirts and counting cash and more time growing a pair"
I can't see how Bradley justifies a MGP ride next year, nice bloke and all that and does a lot for the sport but just not fast enough. There again I didn't think Cal would be amongst the Aliens this year. After last year I expected his 2nd year to go the same way Toslands did.
It's a conspiracy I tell yer!! Lol Rossi seemed to go better at the front when he was racing, in the first few laps, than when he was circulating on his own mid pack This was one of the biggest yawnfests I've seen even in MGP. It's just soooooooo boring
Colin Edwards has now had a pop at the series and how boring it is to watch. He wants the rules to be No factory bikes Honda, Yam, Ducrapi, Kwack, Suzuki etc To build 6 bikes each and to be sold to teams for a max cost. CRT's as they are but all bikes will carry a common ECU. Makes alot of sense ?
That's a classic Hate post! You Stoner fans are getting all bitter again! Hell! you are all so like him! Your rider wins and just keeps on moaning!
Read it again Steve. I was making up something that old Katana would say, or I WOULD HAVE SAID in the past. I will say it again. I don't hate Rossi, and now most f you Rossi lovers with you pyjama and duvet sets have stopped bashing Casey, I've stopped my Rossi bashing. Lets see him back on a factory Yam at the front please
Ha Ha! I'm afraid We are going to be stuck with VR untill the end of 2014! Done deal behind the scenes i reckon ?
LOL. I'm no hater, I admire Stoner as much as I admire Rossi and all the other greats ... its my amazement at haters of any Motorcycle racer (from two wheeled riders) I see here and elsewhere that bewilders me, I think its because we as a species are tribal and we have to take sides, I do get dissapointed when Motorcyle racing supporting sometimes drops as low as football supporting type behaviour though ... Honestly. People skills or Charisma do count though, and that's where Casey loses big style over Valentino, they are both in it for the money of course, but Rossi has always had the racing passion too, not so much now, he needs a boost I guess ... you can always tell watching him in practise if he's animated enough on the bike or not ... Italian temperamental passion, I suppose? But yeah, glad I bought up the point of Bradley ... he's a nice young guy, but even he must be overwhelmed to have been chosen to be riding in Moto GP this year and after turning it down still getting an offer for next year, seriously, whoever made that offer must have been drunk and thinking (shit) now, we'll see. But at the end of the day I'm Scots (UK first though) and glad to see Cal doing so well, its been a poor season so far for many reasons, no Marco for one, Val and Ducati going backwards again ... I still watch each race with an open mind and ultimate optimism though. Cheers. PS: I'm 50 + and disabled now so cant ride, but did have lots of track experience and road bikes in my younger days, not a Ducati though, saw this place advertised on the OcUK boards and watched the threads from the beginning, hope you dont mind me chiming in from time to time about Bike racing ... it was a long cold winter waiting for it all to start again.
