Single sided is a great look on some bikes and it just works on the 916 series of bikes and the 1098... but I think on others it looks weird. Singled sided show a bit more wheel which is good if you have nice wheels... I have nice wheels...
Weirdo. The beauty of a single swinger is that you can pretend it's either type by turning the bike round.
Less is definitely more when it comes to swing arms Checks the background on the Ducati Forum, single sided for the win !
Agree - looks good on my 748 but some serious forces must be going on. I suppose it's no different to the average car though.
The forces on a motorcycle rear suspension are less than you'd think. especially with a spring in place to reduce shock loading. Unless you're a lardy arse yank on a Harley of course that needs two rear shocks the size of scuba tanks. Think about how the whole of the suspension force goes through the 10mm bolt in sheer at the top or bottom of the shock. Nasher.
How can you Not like a single sided swingarm?,you need to be committed to a psychiatric ward until you mend your ways.
only in the above picture would i agree with you, the visible swung arm needs to be removed out of the way.
