as i see more the recent photos i understand this is an old testing mule.the recent bike is painted better and better finished.
1158cc V4 engine so a new working of the V4 engine altogether. https://www.carandbike.com/news/duc...mC4bnwyr7AxFrCjrsVYB3krpGnENQrhqmBkGL5j-iKt_c
That would be a big mistake if that was the case. KTM's new gen 3 1290 (1301cc) SDR (and soon to be GT) produces at least 180 horse power and will have masses more bottom end and mid range than the much smaller 1158 V4, I would have bet Ducati would have given it around 185 to at least give it some bragging rights
from what i understand with 19” front wheel their competition isnt anymore the sdgt or the xr but only the sas and the gs.and the new v4 will have more power, the torqe will be close and it will provide the smoothness of a 4 piston engine that the others dont have. +i was told that it will offer the by far the longest valve service of all that bikes.
And with a 19” you also get to lose a significant % in its following!!! I for one would have never even thrown a leg over my previous DVT if it had been fitted with a 19”. For those who haven’t ridden with a 19” front, sport disappears, and would therefore have never moved to the Ducati brand or bought my current PP. They’re not stupid and the whole brand is built on a racing background, there must be something up their sleeve, just a PP with a 17” won’t cut it.
you mean that the pp isnt enough to fill the sport side? but a 100%sport bike with some touring abilities would be more than welcome!
Theorem #2 The Power is smooth 170 HP of pure sportiness. Powerful, smooth and always ready when needed. For a distinctive character, even more Ducati, at low, medium and high rpm.
