The frame ones are a bitch to put on with the road fairings in place ! I hate working on bikes with road kit still on
Like the look of the carbon, just have to work out whether it's for me given the outlay. Just as an aside it looks like you've got R&G tank grips or similar. Find that surprising given the amount of track stuff you do - I find Stomp Grips and similar design give much more traction on the tank.
Those carbon covers serve a purpose. I’ve never been one for carbon fibre but I’ve got them to stop the frame or swing arm getting hammered. They were £200 odd quid so worth it in my mind Those r&g grips are shit mate you’re right. I got them for free but they don’t give much traction and worst of all don’t stick well around the edges
Looks like new ones are getting thin on the ground, local dealer will only get them in to order. Wonder if they're close to cost now?
Got until March 2021 to decide my direction with the suzuki at the moment. I've been offered places in a couple of Endurance teams for next year, but currently deciding whether I actually want to race or not. I adore racing however I don't adore the risks that much anymore (nor the costs). I've had so many friends hurt and much worse over the last few years, which seems to have been especially amplified over the last 12 months and also had a couple of fairly decent prangs myself. Frustratingly the accidents I've had were technicals and two on fluids (fluids scare the shit out of me) which does nothing to help your head be in the game. So I am going to take my time to decide and mentally know that I won't be lining up for any racing unless i'm comfortable in myself and on the bike. Ride safe all AT
Hey @Advikaz I'm afraid I have been unoriginal and ordered the same carbon gear (except for hugger) - can I ask what adhesive you used? A brand name won't help as I'm in Australia - was it silicone or polyurethane based or? Thanks (and best of luck with pondering the racing move - a friend ending up in a wheelchair and spending years searching for "cures" hopelessly was enough for me).
go racing mate, il give you £5000 for your gsxr to help with cost. No no you dont have to thank me mate its would be my pleasure
bikes looking well. I'm off to Donnington tommorrow with a mate who's giving his new tri-options 959 a run out prior to running it in bemsee to see how far off he is from the tri-options times.
cool, I’m mates with Andy Houghton (if you know him) he’s a disabled rider, rides with Talan racing but has picked up a 959 also
Don’t really get many decent on track shots of me when ‘working’ as we are never really ‘on it’ but I like these
