  1. You rent the Leaf batteries I believe. A monthly charge! So if they degrade substantially they are replaced foc.

  2. Yep ... or indeed a B.

Doctors orders have meant I’ve not been allowed on the road for the last few weeks after suffering a ‘mini stroke’ and losing a chunk of my sight for 30 mins. It hasn’t recurred so I’m allowed out on Sunday ... I’ll be hard-hitting Dartmoor and Exmoor in the car early in the morning, and the bike in the afternoon :)

  4. That’d be great but I can’t get there as I’m banned from driving till Sunday and as I’m near Exeter now, it’s a bit far to cycle to Taunton!

It’d be great to see you though if you have time to come that bit further SW ... pop me a PM and I’ll give you the address.

  6. Bloody hell mate, that sounds a bit scary. I hope you get well soon. Puts things in perspective....

  7. Weather has been atrocious today with rivers on the roads so I just did a run up the glorious A396 to Minehead and back over Exmoor. First proper run in the 911 and I don’t know if it was the conditions or the tyres or me pushing it (a bit of all three I reckon) but it was even more entertaining than I expected ... I even had the back end break away twice accelerating out of bends :)

It would not have been so much fun in the wife’s Tesla!

  8. Sounds like you’re running Pirelli P Zeros? Like I am. They’re great in the dry but not so clever in the wet.

The Michelin PS4S’ are the better all rounder :):upyeah:

  9. Correctomundo ... I think I now know their limits ;-)

I don’t want to limit the fun in this car to dry days only, so I’ll be trying the Michelins next ... thanks for the tip :)

  14. Got it recorded for my son so probably watch that part later but I had to switch channels when they were all in the BMW at the track.

  15. I've not watched top gear since the very early nineties but it was on and me and my wife watched it, I did find it quite amusing I have to admit - roll on another 30 years for my next episode :D

  17. Righto, bit late to this party. Erm, don't own a porsche, never had a Tesla. I've had a couple of Range Rovers, current one is the 4.4 SDV8. Prior to that I bought a TDV8 with 140,000 miles on it. Totally reliable for the four years I had it. Sold it to my brother in law. Now just over 200,000 miles and still utterly reliable.

Can't really comment on my latest Range Rover as I've only had it 18 months, just servicing costs.

And do folk really still buy upright vacuum cleaners? If so, stop, get a robot one. Great gadgets.

  19. My understanding is that the bigger petrol behemoth’s are ok. The smaller diesel lumps are a bit chocolatey. Avoid :upyeah:
