  1. if you look closer youll see metal stripe from the nose and back.and the indicators are high and below something is shining.i bet metal sides.

  2. I see “up skirting” is far more blatant in Italy!

  4. I hope the Active Cruise aint as fickle as my VW Passat!

Bad enough a car on 4 wheels in greasy conditions slamming on cause it thinks it's guna hit sumat never mind a 2 wheeled bike! :astonished:

  5. I’m just stumped as to what the hell use it is?
Perhaps we’ll all need 1000 mile test rides to try it out ;)

  6. Have cruise control on the GS. On long(2 hrs plus) motorway jaunts I may use it for a few minutes as I’m bored. But our congested road network isn’t very conducive to having it on for long. Too many vehicles chopping and changing lanes in front of you to make it useful.

  7. Love the cruise control on the GS, same controller/unit on the S1000r. Comes in to its own on long motorway stretches, esp on Euro trips. Good in speed camera zones if traffic is flowing. Having some previous right shoulder injuries it stops some pain issues for me by being able to rest the throttle hand also on longer runs and tours.
I dont like any detection systems for braking, lane departure etc. Different kettle of fish IMO. Toyota estate a few years back was a complete pain for false alarms, camera warning flashing on dash board. Very distracting and would hate to have that type of system on any vehicle again.

  8. Yep, all for 'Standard' Cruise control on a touring bike just not 'Active'

Or at the very least be able to disable the active function, something you cannot do on my VW

Having said that the reason why they dont is they would then leave em selves wide open to claims from Numpties who've ran in the back of other traffic due to thinking the 'Active' was active when it wasn't lol.

    Can't win!

  9. I have active cruise control in my Volvo, and I love it.

  10. Not sure how well adaptive will work and also how well the units will hold up to a good old salty winter.

But shows Ducati are again innovating where other larger manufacturers stay firmly in 2001.

  11. Theorem #3
    The world is not enough.
The earth’s circumference is 40,075 km across.
    Try 60,000 km.

    my informations correct again...

  12. Yes - looks like they extended service interval - which is good - reduce cost of ownership - as long as its valves and belts..

  13. Doesn't the V4 run HyVo chains for the valve train?

  14. Maybe - no idea..... if so then :)

  15. Longer service intervals says one thing to me, lower rev limit, probably not much more than the 1200/1260 currently. If so, you can kiss your 190bhp goodbye. Andy

  16. They already said it would be 170 BHP

  17. I hadn’t picked that up but hey, there has been an awful lot of crap in the press speculating on what the bike will and won’t be. Andy

  18. Would imagine the 170bhp is the power at the crank, as well.
