  2. You all heard that a brazillian student volunteered for vaccine trials in uk & has died?

  3. 38% never! I thought this forum was full of reasonable people but clearly I was wrong.

Almost scary how people are jumping on the anti vaccine train. Shows how powerful social media/fake news propaganda is becoming. It’s all to keep us staring at our phones, tablets and computers...

Do you get all your news from the Russians? ;)

  5. When they say you can only go to the pub if you’ve had the vaccine, more will want it.

  7. Rushed thru drugs that no one has really tested? What can go wrong?

  8. I might have to have it for work/travel reasons. But if I can get away with it, I will.

And if I wake up the morning after with short arms I’ll be fucking furious.

  9. So what do you pay taxes for? Just your own benefit by the sounds of it. Luckily you don't get a say how it's spent.

  10. He is a working life civil servant, so you have and are paying taxes to support him ;)

  11. And is reported to have been taking the placebo not the vaccine which, if true, sort of undermines that argument. Andy

  16. Heard a chap on the radio this week, veteran, so very used to continuously being injected with unfamiliar substances. He’s part of the medical trials, apparently he’s got the antibodies and his T cells are working on overdrive, and it’s looking very positive.

Respect to people who put themselves forward for this sort of stuff. Completely undermined by the anti vaccine idiots.

  17. I dont think it’s fair to call people who dont want this vaccine as a anti-vaccine idiots. MMR ones and other well established, well tested and delivered hundreds of millions of tikes yes. But one that has been developed and straight lab to public with almost no steps between is very different.

  18. Oh yeah. 'Drugs'. Must be the same then

  19. Vaccines aren’t drugs then? Wow. Every day is a learning day

  20. I'm not anti vaccine in any way. I have spent my whole working life grafting around the planet and subsequently have probably had more shots/local prescriptions than most will ever come in contact with. The issue with the methodology in many cases is that "the cure" often has worse possible side
effects than the risk presents. (not for everyone but certainly for some).

A personal case in point would be anti malarials, where you need to dose before your trip, during your trip and in a wind down period afterwards.
Most of the recognised drug lines for this recommend having a drug break quite frequently or risk eyesight, liver and other repercussions. If you are working a rota in some regions, the pre trip and post trip part of the drug cycle prevent the off drug time. Employers want to be free from litigation and also dealing with medical downtime, so demand the use of the drugs and will sack folk who refuse to use. (bloods can be tested as part of contract).
If I am on a compulsory drug contract, I will take it, if not I don't use anti malarials as a rule as the majority of work locations have minimal exposure to the risk. They just happen to be in a malaria zone.

The covid vaccine is likely to be no more effective than the annual flu jabs for the olds, may help may not and dont forget to get another one next year type stuff. Until it has has been proven to be both safe and worthwhile long term, I wont be in the queue unless forced to.
