Silly...of course they're both 'Drugs'. They (or their use) just don't resemble each other for the purpose of risk comparison.
Of course they do. Any drug being injected into a human should go through the same rigours trials and challenges. Sometimes they can cut corners by removing red tape but not the test process I would suspect, fast track a solution.

To be honest I would consider a vaccine, but only after it was proved to be OK & to me that means seeing how it's gone after maybe year or so's use. Taking the vaccine after six months use is far too soon in my humble opinion & "NEVER" was the only other option in this poll. Choosing that option in the poll has nothing whatsoever to do with social media pressure, it's just common sense & past history in drug production. Possibly were covid a much higher percentage killer of those infected then quite likely I would change my opinion, but then those keen to trial such a drug might not be so forthcoming. There's no taking it away from those who are brave enough to trial drugs & I do doff my cap to them & offer my heatfelt thanks. Taking the likelyhood of me dying from covid I consider the risk to me such that I'll wait thank you very much before I commit myself to any vaccine.
I'm all for vaccines and like all vaccines there is a target group!! Im not in that group so why would I need/take it? that is the same with every vaccine and if and when I'm in that group it's my choice?
The thing that worries me is that, currently according to this poll, 33% of people WOULD have the vaccine straight away, no questions asked !! Maybe like Jimmy899 they have been swayed by social media !
we're only human after all. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment In case i've been too cryptic - Milgram set out thinking he would confirm a flaw* in "a German person's" psyche but instead discovered that a similar flaw* could exist in anyone. *my suggested term not Milgram's.
I've learnt from being a Land Rover owner for too many years that you should never have the first of any new product. Best to let others with less sense sign up to the unpaid product development team. Nasher.
For me the risks of catching Covid and being very ill out way the risks of taking the vaccine, I defininetly want it. Having had to distance myself from human contact fot the last 7 months im getting very tired of it. Daughter moved out to boyfirends house to help me out, which I owe her big time. If I have a negative reacton to the vaccine thats a risk I happy to take.
Duc996bp, it's fully understandable if you've had to deal with it over the last 7 months. I admit it's rather too easy to dismiss it for those of us who's worst consequence has not being able to see the inlaws for 7 months. I hope everything gets better for you soon. Oh, and when you are out and about, I hear Land Rover will launching some new models soon which I may want to buy second hand in a couple of years. Thanks Nasher.
I am glad that I'm not alone on this. A drug on which there will have been no long-term trials, rushed out to suit the ego of an incompetent prime minister. Hmmm, I think that I will take my chances....
So you believe the system should be that if an individual is being harrased or robbed perhaps something even worse and they are only allowed so many calls to the police or they are charged? What are your rules going to be regarding kids & education?
Legitimate calls no charge... if you call up particularly on 999 with some of the most bizarre stupid requests and questions that currently go on points are deducted!
I'd imagine that the costs of legally acertaining whether the calls were "legitimate" would easily surpass the costs of answering the 'phones. So education & kids?
Look, our Prime Minister had the virus and it didn't do him any harm! Oh yeah, maybe the vaccine isn't such a bad idea.....
