Brad Binder gets a long lap penalty for the first race at Valencia for causing an accident and riding irresponsibly after wiping Jack Miller out on the first lap of race of Tercel at Aragon last weekend. Andy
This is how things are going now in Motogp and i really don't like it let alone the riders, it stinks of boremula one!! As above racing incident all day long.
Stewards came to a different conclusion which Binder accepted making ‘a big mistake’ and he did the same to Olivera at Jerez. Rookie misjudgement. Andy
If he is willing to accept his mistake then OK but over the years it's starting to go down that dodgy road(pardon the pun) Back in 2015 we were at Misano watching the Moto3 race or was it Moto2 anyway it was Danny Kent got penalised for exceeding track limits so had to drop two places, WTF that is the first time i'd heard of that and it ruined his race and the race for that matter mmmmmmmmm what next.
I love MotoGP but I really hope it doesn’t go down the nanny route that F1 is taking with team orders and penalties left, right and centre.
So now if you exceed limits on the final lap, having not done at all before, you are penalised. Utter bollocks. If you have the balls and drive to push and risk in the final corner and end up on a bit of green that shouldn’t be punished!
Not if your name is Masia. Exceeding track limits was introduced to stop riders gaining advantage by going off track. Like it or loathe it, all the riders know the rules but unfortunately the rule is not being applied consistently. IMO, the stupid games being played and tactics employed in Moto3 free practice and qualifying is ruining spectator enjoyment. Andy
They will be fitting rubber bump strips or sending 'em round in individual time trials soon. They are spoiling the racing. No-one wants accidents, but sometimes its an inevitability when 10 bikes go into a 5 bike wide corner, especially on the opening lap.
If it was gravel and not a run off then there wouldn’t be an issue with track limits, like the old days!
If you have the balls and take the risk to push your opponent in the final corner on to the green ... then that’s different... unless it’s Jerez and your name is Rossi
Gravel or grass, either is a good option. Still, thank goodness they don’t behave like F1 drivers, they might just as well run their cars on a drag strip!
I still like F1 but the nanny state has got a little too much. Red flag for some debris on the track, I think a wing mirror fell off or something, it’s like they’ve been taught by the traffic Wombles marshalling our motorways!! I enjoyed WSB this year with Reading shaking it up a bit, gave “ure maaan” something to think about this year, wouldn’t be surprised if Reading wins it next year. Mot GP has been great this year with MM, his little brothers is pretty good tho
the only time anyone moans about a racer showing the other the outside of the track is when Rossi does it, and the haters come out.
Had it done to me, have done it to others. You shut the throttle or go off track. Simple But not on trackdays.... unless you're a NL or OMCC instructor
