I don't need to, I'm well aware what covid can do to certain people, I'm not an idiot for a start, but once again you're assuming that because I have issues with the way that covid deaths are being recorded, that somehow you can try to associate me as being a covid denier and ignore the point made as though it's not accurate. Tell me, as you seem to know so much about hospital capacity, what levels were the hospitals at this time last year, and the year before, and the year before that? Were they at capacity? And what percentage is capacity classed as of a hospital?
Im not entirely sure what point you're making, other than I suppose being right that dead peoples hearts do usually stop. Good info
Up to 33000 delayed or postponed cancer treatments, and up to 50000 further undiagnosed due to covid restrictions and actions. Not good news at all, and once again shows the catastrophically bad calls made from the Government and NHS all the way through. And this is just the outlook on cancer, now roll out the same scenario across many more fatal diseases. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...ndiagnosed-due-to-covid-report-finds-12117467 https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/uk/50-00...osis-during-covid-19-pandemic-macmillan-says/
If we use the projections which you quote, surely we should also use the projections of what could have happened this year as a result of CV19 -they came from the same sources. The projection was that 200,000 plus people would have already have died without the lockdown and social restrictions, closed schools. Quite a difference between the two results and worth considering?
Worth considering jez yes, but none of the models have been right so far, and Fergusons models have been royally ripped apart from many peers due to errors in his data How about we focus on what we do know to be accurate? With the known average age of death from covid in the UK being above 82 years of age, and the known life expectancy in the UK being 81, and the known lacadasical way that deaths are being assigned as a 'Died WITH covid' as long as you tested positive and died within 28 days (irrespective of whether covid actually caused them any ill health)....surely opening ones eyes to the horrific fallout from these implemented measures is way overdue. The facts are the measures are having a catastrophically dire impact on saving 10's of thousands of other lives, many of which are not in their final years on this earth, a huge jump in increased poverty, depression and on and on and on. The WHO are against lockdowns for a reason, the same WHO that we all needed to follow advice of earlier in the pandemic This poor little kid has been waiting 4 months for a CT scan. People need to wake up and get their heads around costs vs benefits, because at the moment simply repeating slogans like 'save lives / save the NHS ' is just imbecilic. In 2019 an average of 1360 people died everyday in the UK, each and every day all year before getting to roughly 500000. People die, it's unfortunate but it's also something that happens more specifically to those of old age. It's not about who's more important than whom, it's about balance, perspective and costs vs benefits. Unfortunately it seems our leaders are too weak to try and explain this to a population https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/dad-girl-5-cancer-describes-22922146
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopula...guresondeathsregisteredbyareaofusualresidence Data here is not ‘grouped’ in anyway. It’s just total deaths by month. Maybe in 2021 when all of this years data is in it will be possible to see if the total number of deaths is significantly higher this year.
It will be, and from what I understand at this moment in time excess deaths are flat YOY against the previous average. I haven't looked myself, but there is a huge increase in excess deaths within care homes, some 20k plus I believe and that figure excludes covid associated. That should tell people something about the level of care available for anyone outside of the focus of covid.
Don’t get me started on that. If I ever get an appointment with a doctor I might put it on eBay, then take early retirement with the proceeds.
Tell them you have covid, you'll be straight in and feverishly chalked up to the stats they want to talk about, whilst pretending the rest aren't happening Note: Not the death ones though Al, I mean I think you'd be proving a point too far with that, we like you, I like you, we need more front line water cannon operator's with your enthusiasm come Indi 2
It comes back to that comment I made a while ago in my book; Whether the threat is legitimate to the degree the gov and media are peddling or not (i believe not) but anyway... the state of the data discredits any legitimacy it may have had (amongst MANY other factors).
I might try that. (though the doc will just ask me if I still smoke, and if I say yes all I get is a lecture about smoking. Usually end up walking away thinking ‘hang on, my bloody leg still hurts - how are nicotine patches going to help’). Cheers, I’m all for #taketothestreetsoutsidetesco but would rather not be cannon fodder. Don’t worry, nerf guns are loaded and ready. Water cannons checked weekly and I’ve bought some water bombs too.
Daughter is at Addenbrookes today, normally lucky to get a seat in the waiting rooms. Says she’s the only one there, whole hospital is quiet, some areas cordoned off for covid, but hardly anyone about in general.
Thats is exactly what the three Dr's surgeries (all under the same ownership) have looked like near me since mid March. You ring and they tell you via answer phone not to go, you turn up and they have big signs saying don't enter and go home and ring. Its absolutely pathetic frankly. Nobody there, can't actually talk to someone initially and have to leave a message then someone calls you back at an unspecified time. I went to a pharmacy two days ago that's connected to another Im not registered at, exactly the same story. The doors are open but again two huge signs either side of the door saying not to enter unless you have an appointment and about 3 chairs 10m apart in a waiting room that would usually have probably 4 or 5 rows of 8 looking at the space they have. Really boils my piss. Thanks Alan, i was having a wonderful day
I’ve liked reading your posts on this thread and applaud all your time and effort you put in bud. However I believe people are firmly entrenched in whatever their view was back in March.
