  1. Has anyone had any luck getting on!!

  2. Some nice features. Bit ugly...says the tractor rider o_O

  3. So I watched the whole video here https://www.ducati.com/ww/en/home/ducati-world-premiere
While it looks OK, it's only 170hp, not the 190 expected and certainly not the 205 of the Streetfighter. And no Desmo drivetrain. And I don't want that feckin' radar! Hmmmm.....a late 1260S, maybe Pikes Peak version is looking very attractive to me right now!

  7. Did I get the tyre sizing right,170 rear or was this just for the spoked wheel option??

  8. There’s 4 more premiers coming over the next month. It makes me wonder if a Pikes Peak(ish) version with a 17" front wheel will feature and what else they have in store.

A Streetfighter with a 3/4 fairing would tick a lot of boxes for me.

  9. Looking at the pictures it appears both a cast and spoke are 170.

  12. Just watched it too with the wife.
Pleasantly surprised. It sounds like thy have answered or addressed many of the things we have been requesting over the years:
    - better aerodynamics
    - front storage cubby with power
    - heated seats
    - better pillion seat
    - lower / narrower riders seat
    - better crash survival (hand guards look more robust, indicators not in mirrors ?)

Things I'm not so keen on:
    - that front header looks like an expensive mistake waiting to happen. Must have a decent sump guard over that.
    - the blind spot light would be flashing permanently with the guys I ride with  In fact I just know they would be playing about to see if they could get it to light up :laughing:
    - I would like to see it with a top box and tank bag fitted

It will be interesting to see how good the new screen / aerodynamics are. I prefer a short screen, so I hope they offer a short PP style one too, as that standard one is too tall for proper off road riding anyway.

I honestly think this can be a replacement for our 1200 enduro.
Wheel and tyre sizes are the same, so not too worried its a 170/19 rather than a 190/17 on an alloy rim. To be honest I can push on just as much on the enduro as I can on my 1200 pre-dvt.

Aside from the top box / tank bag, the only other thing I want to know is the fuel tank size, and range.
    It does look like

I'll take a sport with all the goodies except predictive cruise / blind spot please :yum (unless a Pikes Peak is announced in the next few weeks)

Can't get the configurator to work at present, I assume their servers are a bit busy :)

    (update) ok working now.
    Erm, I might rethink that....
Performance Pack - akra slip on and carbon front mud guard - £1150
Travel pack - hard panniers, heated grips, heated seats, centre stand - £1250
Travel & Radar - as above plus radar system - £1950
Full - all of the above - £3100

On that basis all I really want is the Travel Pack.
Also there is no ability to configure the S sport (£19,995), so I wonder if this is not available just yet, or it truly comes with everything (surprising if that is true as its only 1600 quid more than the S). Looks like it actually comes with the sport pack plus some paintwork.

  13. 22L fuel tank, screen, top box and tank bag showing in the accessories along with a better sump guard.

  14. I'm pretty impressed. I like it all, bar the 19" front wheel (meaning I can't use sportier rubber on it). The narrower rear is a bit of a concern too, but I'd need to test it. The seat is taller in the lower position, but the shape looks like maybe it won't be harder to put feet down to stop.

Hoping they do come out with a 17" wheel version eventually. My 1260 isn't going anywhere for now though.
