A great lad / racing driver when he arrived in formula one back in the day,he is responsible for getting me watching again,but what a total wanker that boy is these days,perhaps he should team up with Trump.......
You have to respect him for an incredible driving career and beating Schumacher's seemingly unatainable number of race wins. BUT his political statements and the way he bahaves is pretty disappointing, especially around BLM.

Great racing driver, total hypocrite will be racing in Turkey next weekend. Country supports terrorists, invaded Iraq and murdered Kurdish civilians. I don’t suppose the French drivers / Renault will feel to comfortable there.

Cannot agree with you there. Certainly heading to be the most successful driver ever but as has already been said, that is not the same as the best. You have to win championships for more than one manufacturer to earn that accolade IMO. Andy

He’s never struck me as being stupid and I doubt you’d get far in F1 without some brains as you need some mechanical knowledge, tactical nous, be able to interpret and apply telemetry and to communicate info about the car’s performance to the engineers.
Quite right......he has to know which button to push to make the radio work so he can have a whinge when he knows he isn't going to win. But you know as well as I do, you can know your subject inside out without necessarily having any common sense.
