Silly boy. IMO, I don’t see a way back into the MotoGP paddock as a rider in 2022, pissed off too many team principals and too many burgeoning young bucks looking for a ride. Shame. Andy
Amazing really dovi and Lorenzo and Pedrosa are all good enough to be front runners on the right machine (setup pending)
Can't seeing him getting another MotoGP seat after this, particularly as a recent runner-up to Marquez and hasn't been able to get the job done with no Marquez in the way.
..and he finished two seconds behind Miller yesterday. Proving to be an also ran now that the Ducati has lost some of the huge power advantage it had down the straights.
This year has shown us that the old guns in the paddock need to retire ASAP,youth is the way forward for motorcycling but we need some personalities.PDQ
I think Dovi is the best of the rest, only a very few riders have beaten Marquez and no one has got as close as Dovi. I believe he really does deserve a ride with a top team.
Too much new talent coming through to justify giving him a seat in 2022 I reckon. This year would have been his if all the stars aligned , but alas they did not. Shame really seems a nice guy , but looks like his competing days will be over after Portugal
A year in national Italian motocross should render him unfit to start pre season testing in moto gp at the end of 2021, people comment on his age what chance has he got of going a season without snapping stuff in motocross? He also most definitely will not be a target for every single rider on track
The problem is, who leaves the paddock and then returns. Like has been said, factories are more likely to look at the current and upcoming riders than one that's been out the game for a year.
I think riders should only be able to signed to a team for 3yrs then they have to move on to another team or out of MotoGP? It would stop the becoming stagnant like few years ago when you had the likes of Pedrosa in the top seat for 12 years
Dani Pedrosa was more than just a rider. Honda valued his input into the development of their bikes. KTM are getting the benefit of his knowledge and experience now.
Brilliant! Maybe they could do that in F1 too! It would help to stop the high-speed advertising procession that they call racing!
Did they? They certainly didn’t hold much faith in him when Casey announced his retirement, they pushed through the “Marquez Rule” and got him straight into a factory ride? I think they kept him for so long because he was Spanish and so is Repsol and so is Dorna?
Think he should change undaunted to deluded https://www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/dovizioso-to-take-year-off-but-will-be-back-in-motogp
