Gold Wheels

  1. Look absolutely superb Andy

I was originally thinking of going down the Powder coat route, as I didn't think paint would be durable enough on wheels but after hearing you have had a few tyres changes on your painted wheels with no issues your changing my opinion:upyeah:

Those are painted. I asked for powder coat but as you can see from the second pic, they came out the same colour as a Caramac bar.

After several surreal conversations wherein I tried to explain that gold was (a) metallic, yannoe, like a metal, and (b) not the colour of baby poo, they eventually agreed to repaint them.

However, they did a shit job (no pun intended) as it’s now bubbling and peeling off in places which incidentally has revealed that they didn’t bead blast the nasty coloured powder coating off before spraying them as I instructed. So they’ll be feeling the sting of the legal lash at some point soon when I work my way down to that issue on my “To Do” list

  5. Didn’t last long :p

  6. Yes they are the standard colour wheels off the 1299 anniversario.

  7. My panigale wheels are covered in stone chips and none anywhere near the rim, so definitely not tyre change related.

I would like to get them painted and would go gold I think
