Just finished judging the Royal Lymington Yacht Club annual photo competition on Zoom. When did I become posh enough to be associated with the Royal Lymington Yacht Club in any shape or form?
Paid my mortgage off, nice feeling at 31! .....downside is I had to take another out to pay it off so not out of debt yet
I had a Bonneville that looked just like that. Rode if from Cali to Colorado mostly on back roads. I liked it!
Got very distinctive sound and for 6ltr V12 it spins up very quickly and is silky smooth with masses of torque. Fuel consumption won't be quite as much fun though.
I enjoyed a convertible Corvette with a 5.7, but petrol was cheaper then! I swapped an XKR Jag for it (ugly step sister of your Aston)
Love a big lump, had a 6.6 Trans Am back in the 80s as a daily driver but still living at home with parents I could afford it, also ran 5ltr TPI Trans Am through the 90s for another daily drive. Aston is replacing a Daimler Super 8 which is a lovely old beast but it's time for a Change now.
Drained off fuel from tanks, removed petcocks and cleaned and re-fitted on BSA, Ducati, and OIF Bonneville for the winter layover. The T'Bird is still ready to go, plus the 1948 500 Triumph is undergoing gearbox re-build, i have assembled 3 boxes now from bits and don't know which one to fit.
Hi Neil How do you find the 600, i ask as I've fancied one for a while, there was one local to me at a good price and been on eBay twice now and not sold, i would go and look but seller hasn't answered my questions so i will hold back for now.
