just had a look on ebay and there is quite a few different makes to choose from and price as well. can i have some recommendations from the guys that have changed them . i have a 2007s thats done 31k
Replaced mine some years ago around the same mileage. Looking at my records I used NTN SF07a17p available from various outlets at around £20 each. You can buy from ducati at £42 each. Bought the seals from ducati. Now covered another 35k and still fine.
From memory the ones I’ve indicated above are the OEM bearings. I replaced like for like. Just looked them up and I’m correct. https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/ducati-motorcycle/assignment_spare_parts/70241231A
These look a bargain compared to Ducati prices and the same OEM bearing. Uk stockist. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/502426493
Better still order direct from company listed on eBay https://www.hendersonbearings.co.uk...e-stem-head-roller-bearing-35x55x14-5xmm.html At that price I’ve just ordered a set for future use.
Just took delivery of the OEM bearings made by NTN. Here’s a pic of bearing and seals. Bought the seals from local ducati shop which cost £12 for set. The bearings cost £27.22 for both which included delivery. Don’t mind paying a bit extra to support local shop but from ducati for the same parts would have cost a total of £96 versus £39.22.
I got a set from [email protected] for less than £20 Ducati 1098 S 2007 - 2008 Showe Steering Bearing Kit SKU: 100011554 1 Excl. Tax: £15.79 Incl. Tax: £18.95 Kit Contents2 2 x Tapered Bearing Oil Seal - 35 x 46.3 / 55 x 3.9 £0.00 Kit Contents1 2 x Showe 32907 Tapered Roller Bearing £0.00
That’s good. In the end the cheapest I found for the OEM set was https://showe-performance.co.uk/ducati-1098-s-2007-2008-ntn-steering-bearing-seal-kit.html Around £33 for bearings and seals.
