The 959 Is Done!! I Think..

  1. Well, following on from my previous posts, I think I have now finished with the mods and tweeks, at least for just now.. I have now removed the pillion hangers and pegs, polished the rider hangers, heel guards, brake pedal and gear changer. Added a couple of small Italian flags to the side fairing and had the lower fairing panels done in black. I think this is how it should have looked, but that may change in time.. I might start looking for an older 1200 Multistrada now to have as well, but just toying with the idea, I have not sought approvals on that from she who must be obeyed.

  11. Looks superb. Who did the wheels?

  12. A very good chap up here called Mike Stewart painted them for me in Yamaha “Oro” gold.

  13. Thanks. They look great.

How durable / tough is the paint when changing tyres?

Do you mind if I ask how much to expect to pay?

  14. No problems, I had new tyres fitted after painting with no issues. They cost £160 for the pair which is slightly more than powder coating but they have a much deeper and glossy shine to them. Money well spent, in my opinion, not sure the wife agrees though..
