Looking to get some nice bling bits on the hyper. Sprocket carrier, sprocket nuts, rear axle nuts, clutch plate etc. some of the above aluminium stuff on AliExpress is dirt cheap. Are we advised to steer clear of the cheaper end of the scale? Has anyone got any advice or feedback? Thanks
I think the conclusion was that you pays yer money and takes your choice. I've got a few Chinese farkles on my KTM and they are fine, look good, last well and cost me a quarter of the price; what's not to like?
Thanks Bonkers. It’s a hard decision to be honest. I love the look of the anodised aluminium when used tastefully. In a ideal world I’d like to put a nice cnc sprocket cover, anodised sprocket nuts and anodised axle nuts. Can’t help but thinking is this right. After all it’s a aluminium nut replacing a heavy steel nut or nuts. Plus I think maximum torque for any anodised aluminium nut is only 44nm.
Anything load bearing (if it fell of you risk a nasty accident) - get pukka stuff. Non load bearing - get what you like.
