We used to have leaf compost pits positioned around the garden for the glasshouses / repotting plants etc many moons ago.
You use a tractor and trailer in your garden for the leaves? There are times I'm glad my garden is small.! Autumn is one of those times!
Barely winter and I’m already tired of it. At least I got the lawn cut, pretty much moss. Course is bloody hard work. 2 assignments uploaded and 2 to complete before Christmas. But as they say, if you want something, get off your ass and work for it.
This morning the heating didn’t come on so I’ve been messing with all the thermostatic settings around the house, checking boiler pressures, topping up expansion tanks, bleeding radiators and double checking timing switches. Mostly to no avail as I could only seem to get the heating upstairs and the water on. It seems the heat pump for downstairs heating is knackered and so isn’t heating the downstairs radiators. However there is a manual override which I’ve managed to operate till the plumber can get a new pump to fit tomorrow, under guarantee. We’re now starting to warm up.
Been a little quiet on here recently. Been through the separation, moved out, but things got messy when the ex decided to empty my business account but that is still a legal matter so I will pipe down on that. Can’t thank my friends and family enough for the support. Really dark times, but touch wood, I sit in my own place, soon to be 100% ownership of the company I founded (touch wood but it’s cost me), heated garage, sea views and daughter is thankfully, still at private school which was always my concern, long term. So ignoring the stress, 10 kg weight loss, life could be a hell of a lot worse. The V4S is still here....
Just purchased all the components to build my lads mountain bike, bank balance has just taken a pounding.
Today, despite the cold, rain and mist forecast, I will be mostly riding around the Peak District with my mate
