yip, lets see what the Mrs can do with this one. all the dogs we have had have gone lil nuts. by that i mean they become v.much her dog. and her dog only and constant companion.. even the alsation i had when we met became hers. i didnt get a look in after that.
Our springer followed my wife everywhere and waited by the door when she was out. GSD we have now is similar, though more protective of all of us, especially when out.
yip, the Mrs taught the last one, jake who was a big lad, fit as a fiddle an atack word after she got a scare up the forestry by some group of twats. v,protective of her, the kids, our cat and lambs.
We had a dog that lived for many years with Addisons. Please get in touch if you want any tips or advice or just reassurance that it can be managed in the long term. Good luck either way.
Hi thanks for the reply Polly is on a monthly injection and a quarter of a tablet a day and is a lot better Thanks Richard
Our dog came from a chicken farm just over an hour away from us in France. A border collie. With a heavy heart I found this today. Our dog worrying our chicken stock.
Iggy is like that with my girlf. He’s also getting quite protective of her now he’s reaching maturity, and interestingly when he chills with me while I’m working he sits behind me, but when he’s hanging out with her during the day, he makes sure he’s between her and the door. He’s getting territorial with the house too, the slightest noise sets him off barking and he won’t shut TF up until I’ve indulged him by letting him check out of the windows he can reach and opening the back door so he can do a quick patrol in order to check we aren’t all under threat. The thing is though, he’s as daft as a brush and the only way he’d stop an intruder would be if they tripped over him as he’s body slamming them to say hello or they slipped on the little puddle of piss he usually lets out when he gets excited
Wednesday had us say good bye to my little chap. A huge lump of pain that feels like it will never go away. With 15 and a half years of great memories. Missing him like crazy RIP Murphy
I know how this feels. Chin up Mate and take solice from knowing you returned his loyalty and love. He'll always be at your side.
