  2. Not sure about the headlight but the rest looks a fair evolution of the monster current edition. Vaguely in line but more angular to move forward. Like panigale into v4

    agree... it will be a nice bit of kit ...and yes it’s about new styles and moving forward or we would all be still sat on horses and camels

Lol ...Ducati is amazing generally but certainly has made styling and reliability mistakes, I like this monster, some monsters look dreadful I like the compact attitude I don’t like big gaps on bikes I like compactness and this might be a very good looking riding and performing bike, the weight is good too

  7. I like it. At least the end cans are much better than the previous massive ones. Reducing the weight by that much is certainly an achievement.

    I’ll look forward to the 1200 S version with Ohlins.

    I wonder if the rear brake works?

  8. Agree sam I bet it’s a good bike in looks and performance...people need to be more patient and open to change, most bikes look not exciting with those type of photos, personally I see a bike I think will be a stonker

  10. I don't like the headlight - but think they did a better job on this than they did on the Multistrada,

    Wont be buying one though...

  13. WTF is going on with ducati at the moment? Are the design department all smoking crack? There is no ducati DNA in the new monster at all, I honestly thought it was a yamaha with a ducati sticker on the tank. Ducati surely must be looking to sell to folks who don't already own a ducati, why would any current monster owner change their bike for one of these?
    Have some of the audi design department sneaked into ducati's studio? I don't know. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and some may like it but I honestly think there should be people at ducati hanging their heads in shame.

  17. I like the headlight, but very little else… which is a shame.

    If their target market is (apparently) 50 somethings trying to cling on to their youth - they've missed by a mile for me.
     
  18. A little bit of red paint around the headlight would certainly add a to the overall design.
     
  19. I can see why Ducati are changing some of their design philosphies. If they carried on as they were, their 'core' market ( which so many seem to think they are) would die off and be replaced by.......nobody.

    Too many people seem to want to only see the same things over and over again.

    A 166kg, 111bhp v twin is likely to be a brillaint bike to ride on the road. IMHO that current 937 engine (Supersport/Hyper/Monster) is one of their best v twin engines ever.
