Didn’t Russell do some testing on this layout in the merc in testing at some point. Seem to remember he was quickest then aswell.
He’s never driven the W11 before mate. And his best ever finish was 12th prior to this. And an average of 16th I think. currently 21st in the championship and until recently classed as a rookie. f1 is a farce.

Bottas the only loser here but it’s the race that counts. I don’t think anyone’s doubting the advantage that the “best” car gives a driver but the argument remains the same until we see a top driver on the Merc over a season, not one race. Get rid of Bottas & put Max in his car, that I’d love to see
I disagree that bottas is the only loser, think Hamilton is overrated for years and that every middleman driver would have won the same titles, bottas is just driving as he has team orders, will show in a couple of years, just like Barrichello had with Ferrari.
Tyres and fuel loads... I were a team manager wanting to get the maximum publicity for my sponsors and team, I'd run a rookie on quick tyres and really low fuel. It would make it more likely to produce headlines. I really hope Russell does well. A top ten finish would be amazing.
Every middleman driver? As has been said on this thread & elsewhere, why can no one take the fight to Hamilton then? His drive in the rain when the cars performances were levelled, from back in the pack to win it a few weeks back was a master class. No other driver was anywhere near him. I hope Russell nails it on Sunday but IMO Bottas is the only likely casualty until another driver gets anywhere near what LH has done
Yep think so. Anyway it sounds to me HAM did just beat BOT and win his titles as the rest wasn’t competition. I wouldn’t knight him if I were you, bad for Britain.
