I nicked this from somewhere else but imagine a similar conversation has taken place between MM and Puig ( or Dr Mir )
So is he claiming he didn’t realise I’m his very recently broken and plated arm would be fragile, or that the doctors misled him to believe that was the case? Either way he looks like an idiot
Blaming others for jumping back on so soon. Either told to by his management team or chose to. Sounds a bit like the quote above: I know you told me not to but it’s still your fault I did. Shoddy
I had a very similar break from a crash at the end of 2006. After a couple of attempts at metalwork fixation the bone had still refused to knit, even with hyperbaric chamber time and other fancy stimuli regimes at Brian Simpson's clinic in Ipswich. We could see bone growing on x-rays but it refused to make a final stable join. Ended up get opened again and the bone ends packed out with a pelvic graft. This was the worst op of all and took nearly 8 hrs, after which I spent half a day wretching due to the effects of the prolonged anaesthesia. More time with Brian and the bone finally joined. While the bone is as good as normal now, the repeated surgeries took their toll on the soft tissue and nerves (I needed 4 lots in 18 months). In most situations I have about 90% normality, but in certain movements I am as weak as a child and still suffer pain. The longer this takes for him to fix, I fear he will never achieve the level of recovery required to compete at his previous level, regardless of the inherent mental barrier.
I would have thought common sense would have told anyone that riding a bike at thise speeds so soon after a major break like that was not a good idea. Sounds like he might not be right until 2022.
I’d imagine they did. But he will have passed the fit to ride tests so it’s only him or his team at fault in slowing him to ride in what was a ridiculous situation. Brave? Stupid!
https://motogp.hondaracingcorporation.com/report/update-on-marc-marquez/ HRC have just said the bone has an infection.
With eight championships titles under his belt, millions in the bank at only 27 years of age don't these people have other strings to their bow.?
And that’s what makes them different to you or I. Same as leading businessmen. It’s not the money or the trappings it’s ‘the game’
I certainly don't need to be taught about the driven D&A in life thanks all the same, but i'll leave this little thought with you, when the roulette wheel's not working in your favour then maybe a different discipline is the order of the day.
