I have no doubt that he is as you describe and my post wasn’t meant to imply otherwise. Happy with the presenter bit he does as he is very knowledgeable but if I have a choice, I would not want to listen to him commentate a 40 minute race. There is quite a crop of retired motorcycle racers with much to offer and some are very entertaining, I don’t want to listen to them commentate either. Andy
Have to disagree with this. I enjoy his banter with Whitham, highly entertaining.Sometimes more than the race itself.
Totally agree regarding Witham & Burnicle, very well matched pair, complement each other in the same way as Moody & Ryder, both (pairs) have a huge depth of knowledge of the racing field and as you say, the banter between them is often better than the racing, very entertaining commentary.
Please don't bring back Ryder, the waffle king of the world, repeats himself so many times or says, " I was just about to say that", please anyone but him!.
If Advikaz wants to make it known this is inappropriate then I will gladly apologise, with immediate effect. It is tongue in cheek, and with an Agree from Advikaz it would seem to me not to have been deemed inappropriate. Michel.
Knowing your stuff doesn’t make you a good commentator and Toseland wasn’t a good commentator. Even if it’s drivel, you need to able to string sentences together which is something he struggled with. It’s not an easy thing to do. Andy
Why any of you want to pay the BT thieves a penny for BT Sport beats me. They ripped us all off for phone services for so many years that I now refuse to pay them for anyything if there is an alternative. Subscribe to the motoGP web site. Watch as much as you like from all classes and look back at historical races any time you feel the urge. The only downside is the good technical input from Simon Crafar whose voice can send you to sleep inside 5 secs.
I can watch rugby and cricket elsewhere and am not interested in footy and boxing. I will happily pay anyone else other than BT.
What's with all the negativity, in a year when we have seen some great racing . I thank them all for making a difficult year bearable.
