  1. Didn’t he tank a bang to the head early on? I’ve never seen him miss so many

  2. I activated my free Amazon Prime trial to watch it. Mustn't forget to cancel it before Jeff starts sucking money out of me.

  3. You’ve ever played Rugby? I think it takes bravery, sometimes, whether your being paid for it or not.

Like boxing. Or sailing solo across the oceans in the Vendée Globe.

  4. I played Loose head prop until a few years ago when it just started to hurt too much, although never really seriously, just for the fun of it.
Now I do a bit of kids Coaching when I can at the school, and all through my boys playing for the school teams I helped out as an additional member of staff when required. It's a serious Rugby school, they don't play football at all, so it's important there.

Bravery is a difficult one when you are coaching kids, as you have to play the game safely, but I believe you can't play if you are scared to put your body at risk, it's just not possible. It's obvious for a forward, but if backs are not prepared to go in hard for a tackle, or jump to catch a kick not knowing what or who they will land on, then it's just not going to work for them.

To a certain extent the players at professional level are paid to put their bodies on the line, but Rugby isn't football, many of the top players could earn more doing what they qualified for at University than playing for a club.

    Nasher.

  5. Some have a very different view of the word bravery.

Although as pastimes go sailing across the ocean alone probably fits the category a bit more than a 20st bloke sitting on you ;)

    And yes I have played

  7. Disturbing times in the rugby world at the minute with Steve Thompson and other ex-players taking legal action againt the governing body of rugby for early signs of dementia setting in after many years on the rugby treadmill.Maybe after this case they'll be all wearing protective headgear in the future.

  10. Doesn’t mention that he himself went against medical advice after his enforced retirement, sought a second opinion and repayed the 500k insurance just to get back on the pitch 4 years later, now wants everyone to be scanned and told when to stop

  11. Like heading in football. Total joke.

  12. They get armoured up like they off to Afghanistan in NFL and that’s where this legal precedent started. The only way we can be safe is to ban all sports to be honest
