I played Loose head prop until a few years ago when it just started to hurt too much, although never really seriously, just for the fun of it. Now I do a bit of kids Coaching when I can at the school, and all through my boys playing for the school teams I helped out as an additional member of staff when required. It's a serious Rugby school, they don't play football at all, so it's important there. Bravery is a difficult one when you are coaching kids, as you have to play the game safely, but I believe you can't play if you are scared to put your body at risk, it's just not possible. It's obvious for a forward, but if backs are not prepared to go in hard for a tackle, or jump to catch a kick not knowing what or who they will land on, then it's just not going to work for them. To a certain extent the players at professional level are paid to put their bodies on the line, but Rugby isn't football, many of the top players could earn more doing what they qualified for at University than playing for a club.
