At the one hand, got old Ducati's TPMS acs with PN 96765393B, and it's OK even with ugly display. At the other hand found some info about tyre pressure at the service manual from MTS1200 2010. So, yeah, build-in TPMS is looking more interesting, but I can't find nothing about it except two pages at old service manual Any ideas?
The 2010 model has a TPMS, and I hear about it 10 year later. . How does it work? Does it show only a warning or the actual pressure? I think it does not show the temperature, right? I'm with a simple Chinese standalone model at the moment, it does a decent job except for the battery indicator, but it is interesting to see one compatible with the dash...
The Ducati OEM Units are quite large and stick inside the rims and have been known to come unstuck. This happened on a mates 1260. I have the Michelin system fitted for 2 years now and it is very good, apart from having to have the front valve twisted round to clear the callipers and the rear valve stem swapped for a Right Angle one. The Michelin display is not integrated to the dash but is easy to fit separately and is easy to read. My 2010 tpms was planned but not realized I use Tiremoni and am very satisfied https://shop.tiremoni.com/en/motorc...itoring-system-for-cruiser-bike-tm-4100/a-286
Asked about it for my 2017 MTS, turns out built in is 2018 on, despite it being in the manual. The external after market units do have a couple of potential issues, one they rely on opening the valve to get the pressure, and are only accurate when the tyres are cold (warnings excepted), as tyre air gets hot and so pressure rises in use, the in tyre sensors are generally temperature compensated. But its not like we have option is it? Just be awre of limitation.
