  4. Whoah, what’s that?

  5. MV August Turismo Veloce. A great bike, beautifully designed, even in the fine closeup detail. Fantastic 800cc triple with a decent amount of pep for solo riding. Sublime handling, much better than the Mutley which is comparatively lazy. Probably aided by being a lot lighter.

Two up its a different story in terms of sufficient power, space (both seating as well as luggage) and the precise handling becoming less of a pleasure and something that requires more concentration than you may want on long days on tour.

I had one for 2 years, 18,000 miles and 6 trips into Europe. A few electrical gremlins with three failures on the final trip combined with a new GF keen to go on the back meant it was replaced by a Multistrada 1260s. GF has since departed but still happy with my decision. The Mutley is now the same age but with zero issues. Mileage currently just over 10,000 but only because of covid, would have been around the same otherwise.

Glad to of had the MV ownership experience although getting out if it I took a right beating as no one wanted to buy it with that mileage.

  6. Still a great looking bike though, one I've given several thoughts about checking out much more closely. Maybe next time, when I'm thinking about changing the 1260MTS!

  8. I was booked to see one on Tuesday next week, but not going to happen now due to new COVID rules

  9. Just learnt, 400 yards up the road from my house (Hants/West Berks boarder) you go from tier 2 to the new tier 4. Andy

  10. Well make sure you turn the right way when leaving home ;)

  11. I believe Ducati UK have the bikes in the Country but won't release them until they know how much they cost.

  12. Horrible copy...

  13. I’d agree with all of that, glad I owed them but wouldn’t have another as an “only” bike.
As for the mileage, you are not expected to own an MV and use it, I think my local dealer was used to their customers bringing their bikes in on trailers for their annual service and MOT, then back into their centrally heated man cave/office on the stands for another 12 months.

  14. Same here, but I’m over the border in Surrey! Everyone will be in Tier 4 by Christmas.

  15. Hi, they have been released. Leeds Ducati has got two in, a V4S Performance and a V4S Full, just been to see them and have a sit on one, the quality and finish on them is amazing!!
